Responsibilities
This faculty member will serve as the Director of the Educational Administration Program which includes the Master of Education in Educational Administration, the Master of Education in Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment, the Principal Licensure, the Superintendent Licensure, and the Certificate in “School Improvement Planning through Data Analysis.” The person is also responsible for the Wrap-Around Credit Programs, the Education Unit School District Partnerships, and partnerships to provide continuing education for licensed teachers. Recruitment of students is a primary responsibility for this position. The position is a 12-month full-time faculty position. Other responsibilities include curriculum development, program assessment, student advising, placement of incoming students, scholarly research, and committee service.
Qualifications
Candidates must possess a doctorate in Education (preferred candidates will also possess Principal and/or Superintendent Licenses for the State of Ohio), the ability to work within a multicultural setting, and a commitment to teaching in a collaborative and values-based environment. A minimum of three years of college teaching at the gradute level is preferred. The successful candidate also has a record of scholarly and professional achievements, especially those which provide opportunities (research experiences, internships) for students. Candidates must have excellent communication skills, mature judgement, and demonstrated success working with a diverse student population. The successful candidate must be committed to the mission of the College to transform students for service, leadership, and professional excellence.
